  • Camera shutter speed slower than 1/2sec? like 5sec or 10?

Hi as far as I can see there is only one box for the camera shutter speed and that has the 1/ prefix - so any falue you put in there will be faster that 1 second, like 125 = 1/125th second - I have tried putting 5" in there or even 5' but both dont work, you can only brighten the images with the camera then by increasing the ISO and lowering the F-number - or i suppose you could increase the light brightness - but I was just wondering if it was possible? - for some really cool blurring affects on moving objects etc.

    Thanks

Good observation about the shutter speed value. In order to get shutter speeds that are longer then a second you will have to putt fractions or numbers smaller then one into that value. So for a shutter speed of 2 seconds you will have to put .5 for the value...for 4 seconds .25 and so on and so forth.
