What do you mean exactly by render a facade?...do you mean a straight on orthagonal view?...in that case the regular camera should work, or a regular camera with a very long Focal length (>300mm)
Hey,
can you do a Orthographic cylinder camera render?
I really hope it soon will be possible to do a section render. As a architect i need that a lot.....
hi! I'm a newbie :-[ , and maybe i'm doing something wrong with my vray, but...
if i load the "qmc" or the "gi" default settings the standard camera works and i have my orthogonal view rendered orthogonal in vray.
But if i load any other visopt (to get better shadows) and i set the "standard camera" from rollout, i dont't see the SU orthogonal scene yet rendered, but a scene with a high perspective angle.
Could we maybe have please a new visopt? :
yes, my visopt use a phisical camera. But when i want to render a facade and i switch my camera to "standard", i don't see anything...
i just want to start from a visopt that support the orthogonal view (like the built-in qmc or gi), and set up "most defined" shadows.
any ideas? :
tnks
maybe all i need is just a good vray course (something like "vray for dummies), but here in italy i can't found it :P
well, the company asgvis is only been around over a year or so. of course alot of people have troubles usung vray. the only thing that can help is to download files and the maunal. but ,in the near future, we all hope for the company to update the new releases, books for dummies and of course video tutorials which it will increase new customers for all those reasons.
for now just keep doning trial and erros, look at forums and see other vray tutorials for max.

i have the same problem- i can't get an orthogonal render- i need to figure out what to set the "height" to. Default of 400 doesn't seem to do anything for me.
