    Can I move the sunlight to positions other than the default?

    Also, I have it shining on a building but it appears to illuminate areas inside that I want dark. Which parameters will change this?

    The sun position is controlled through the same settings as the SketchUp sun, so if you move that it should take effect in the rendering.

      I think it would be nice though with some sort of override with which you could position the "sun" exactly where you want it.
      The SketchUp sun is limited in the way that it follows the "correct" position of the sun at a certain time.

        Well I know this isn't an exactly what you want, but may be able to give you a little more "control". In the sky settings there is a setting in shadows called shadow bias. By adjusting that number you can effectively change the shadows so that they appear as if the sun was from a different location. Check the links below for some more info

          Tacbob, i am going to show you in SU you can change the sun direction. maybe this will help as well.
