no lights except GI

Hi,

when I tried the tutorials all renderings and lights were fine but when I loaded an old model (quite big I must say 50mb) no new light sources and lights show up.

The 3 light tubes for example should have been emissive light sources but the only light visible is the GI which works excellent. I put another round point light somewhere in the room to try a different file but it doesn't have an effect either.

All options are like in the tutorial, I don't understand.
Anyone having a good idea?

Aha! I had to tune up the values to something like 1500 to see an effect.
The tutorials work with multiplier values between 1-10, so this was a bit confusing.

Anyway, the first rendering was beautiful. My impression of vray is: far better than podium but quite pricy.

This has to do with the physical camera, which changes the reaction to light. So basically there was still GI, but not enough to be detected by the camera.
