    Re: Material Mapping

    Steviu
Vismat file is useless without giving the bitmaps , but having just a bitmaps and adding them to defult vray material wouldn't give such an effect because in vismat files you have allready setupped settings like multiplayer, emmisive, reflection and all the setting. If you know how to set up them to give material nice look you wouldn't need the vismat file, but most off us ( or some part of us for exgample me ) don't now yet how to make the settings by myself to make material look good ( and I think it takes quiate a lot of time ), so it's esear to have them alleready and just to change them a lil bit to check what effect you will get.

I'm still not sure if that was what you were asking about
    good luck

      Re: Material Mapping

Thank you for your help guys!

      david,
      I agree with you.
I think the best way to do is having a logical order of the materials and files (.vismat, .png, ....). So, the risk to get consufion is almost zero!!

      bartek,
I'm not expert!!....not at all!....so I need the setup of .vismat files!!
My doubt was just about the "re-link".

Probably now I have just to play with materials and the other vray tools......funny!
I have seen there are a lot of materials in this website, I will download them, then I hope I will able to do some materials by myself.

      thank you.
