Re: Linear workflow correct in VfSU?

Yes the 1.5 engine will be a part of the SR.

The physical camera, as far as I know, won't affect images being washed out. The purpose of the physical camera is to have there be a reaction to physically based lighting units. As far as ISO values with the V-Ray physical camera, there won't be any sort of by product from setting it lower or higher. In films, large ISO values would mean that the light sensing crystals that reacted in the film would be larger so that they could have more of a reaction to light (and the inverse with lower ISO values). With digital photography, ISO values will actually increase the number of sensors on the CCD chip that will contribute to a given pixel, thus allowing more light to be processed. Within the Vray physical camera, there are none of those factors, so it doesn't exhibit any sort of byproduct from those (ie high ISO values in the V-Ray physical camera won't have the noise that is associated from real world images with a high ISO value).

Here are a few of my suggestions as far as gaining more contrast into images...these are just my suggestions as I haven't gone through and tested each one with extreme rigor or thoroughness.

-In the Indirect Illumination tab there are settings for saturation and contrast. Link to explanation below.

-In Color mapping you can begin to play with Light(also called Burn in Reinhard mode) multipliers and Dark multipliers to begin to see what results. This is abit more on the edge of my suggestion, but could lead some good results.

-Play with having a larger input gamma then output. This will over correct the inputs leading them slightly darker in the mids. (Also, maybe try having an output gamma of less then 2.2)
