  • Building animations not making a animation!

oh i need to say that when i am reading this forum i feel so stupid....

Right now i am starting to use / test rendering my designs with sketchup. Right now i am doing an Real Estate study and for me it is very important to make buildings nice and visible. An animation is really perfect for those kind of things. Right now i am using the settings that were published in this topic http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=c...0&topic=3043.0 the tutorail was made by dalomar. Thanq for that.

But the problem is dat i get all kinds of weird spots in the windows? :

i would like it more when it would like as this one but than rendered and a animation! Is that to much to ask? :P

It goes very fast so that is perfect, but can you recommend me some better settings that i can use for pictures of buildings and animations. I really hope that someone can help me with this, because i really don't understand anything of how to put the settings.

    thank you very much,

Animations get done in two passes. One for the irradiance map, which isn't really "rendering", and a second one for the actual images. It looks like you're stuck within that first pass some where. If thats what you're getting for the 2nd pass, then it may just be that you've forgotten to disable Don't Render Final Image, which would make the animation go very fast, since all Vray has to do is load up the scene for that frame as opposed to rendering it as well. If its not that, then you'll have to post some more info about the steps you've done and some settings.

trying to avoid pissing everyone off again by making a new thread about animation, i ask now and here, after proper searching for a tutorial and finding one on rhyno, tho one on spot3d and detailed instructions about getting the irmap and vagueness about getting the final images.

my questions:1. after setting up the irmap parameters and i hit render, it renders all the scenes (the way to get the final map that i willl use right?) and outputs all the halfrendered frames->is this normal? ('do not render final image' is checked).
        2. to get the final images I then load a preffered rendering .visopt and load the irmap from the saved file+tweaks i picked up from the forum and hit render. is that correct, am i missing anything?
        3. why is rendering the scenes in 2 stages, irmap and final, better than rendering only once with the irmap for each frame separately. is it faster?

        thanks
