  • I need some help please.

    Hello Everyone
I am new here and I have a simple question. I have a single license and what I want to do is change my license from a desktop to a laptop so what is the procedure to change the license from the desktop to the laptop. I cannot find anything to click on in V-Ray to deactivate the current license with the desktop. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks for the help.

Re: I need some help please.

what do you know RONS, i also had the same problem from swithcing my desktop to laptop. let me tell you the procedure.

    1. uninstall vray from desktop
    2. install vray in your laptop with password
    3. once you open SU, you will get three options: internet, email or telephone.
    4. Click email, you will have to copy the request code plus password in order to get your activation.
    5. send the email to support@asgvis.com
    6. once they send your activation code, go back again to installation, the email part, and just paste it.

POST: it may not work if you go through the internet since the company has already tracked your vray copy into another machine. that´s why ou will have to get an activation code.

it would be a good idea of putting your work in the gallary forum section.

How can I activate and deactivate VRay on my computer?

I use various rendering and imaging programmes on my office, home and laptop computers. All of the programmes can be used on any of my computers and some of them have sophisticated Activation and Deactivation systems. I've bought and installed VRay on my laptop using the web activation and now realise that I can't install it on my home or office computer! The programme is useless to me if I can't have it on the computer that I'm using at the time. This must be an issue for other people?

I found this thread on the Sketchup forum and am now worried that this isn't possible.

I've sent two emails to AGVIS, but haven't had a response yet. Does anyone have the answer?

Re: I need some help please.

there isn't an authorization/deauthorization process for V-Ray for SketchUp, it's done by hand by our Support Manager. Emailing us is the only way to switch machines.
