Removing V-Ray material

I've been trying to remove a V-Ray material from an object so V-Ray will just use the basic SU material again. But I can't figure out how. I've tried to Apply and then select [none] with no effect.

Create a linked material from the sketchup material it uses and it will use that instead. Not the best solution but it seem to work.
