Highest Resolution

I was just wondering what is the highest resolution any1 has rendered at,as if i go over 5120 x 3840 v ray refuses to render?

also for my renderings i have been mainly using sketchup lighting settings, but were wondering if it would be better to use the online exterior rendering settings available from the tutorial?
i'd like to keep the subtleness and softness of an irradiance map but with sketchups shadows
i find the shadows on a standard map with sketchup lighting settings are a little harsh.I've tried HDRI Images but i just get a black background each time,ive followed the tutorials but to no avail. any help would be much appreciated

Hi !

With the Vray frame buffer I can't go higher than 4000x4000, it is RAM related.
When I need higher resolution I do Vray RAW image (output settings) then I can go up to 20.000x20.000px.
You just need to use the tool available to convert the image in EXR then open it in photoshop....
