    Damn my tab key..... sorry folks...

    Morning all,

    I was wondering if anyone has a bump map which can be added to the Gold material ready loaded to create a more dappled, hammered, worn effect??!?!? or what would you guys recommend?

    Hope you chaps + chapesses can help

        This one might work for you...Just Noise rendered in PS with a frosted glass filter...you might have to adjust the scale cause the texture itself is fairly fine...The render material itself is just a reflection layer with the reflection color completely white (no fresnel) and a goldish color in the filter slot...not the best gold mat, but a start

          Much appreciated Dalomar... Your a legend.... I might have to start mucking around on this old Photoshop gadget, microsoft paint just dont cut it anymore

            A Legend??? That seams a little much, but I'm fine with it ;D

            You should get very familiar with photoshop. That map took 2 secs and all the sudden BAM problem solved. To get the most out of you're materials you will need maps, and to get the most out of you're maps you will need photoshop. Building maps from existing photos, touching up small ones that you find, generating ones from scratch, and doing post work are all BIG reasons to be proficient in photoshop. (btw exchange photoshop with "your image editor of choice" , and paint definitely ain't doing it anymore)
