  • Extracting jpg files from skm libraries ?

    Here's the problem I'm having :

I have applied a standard sketchup material from the library (v6) to an object in my scene and then created a linked vray material. In the vray material editor I cannot apply the bitmap image because the latest version of sketchup does not include the original jpgs, only the skm files. (Sketchup 5 had the original jpgs) Is there any way of extracting the jpg images from the skm file so I can tell vray where to look for them ?

    Thanks,

    Andy

In sketchup - materials menu, right click on the material, select 'export texture image'
    (I've just done this myself!)

Thanks for that, works fine after a bit of a delay !

Also found out that if you copy the original skm file and rename the extension to zip it will open with winzip and you can extract the jpg.

      Thanks for the help,
