yes, is about displacement, i know a lot of you can do it very well, but there are a lot of us that cant find results, i have been reading the manual, and playing with parameters, options etc, even in the material previe, for example when i want to apply a displacement to a grass texture, i can see that the previe shows me the result i want to achive, but when i render the image .....nothing, no displacement...its so frustrating, it makes me feel like quit trying, so please if theres someone that can help all of us that are having a bad time with displacement, please help us, i know there are a lot just like me, a little tutorial, or something, i have study the manual but maybe im too stupid...thanks for your time. excuse my english by the way... ;D

    Re: a hated issue

I had problems with displacements maps as well. But for me I got it working by isolating all the grass mesh into a component. It seemed that if part of the mesh had a different material it wouldn't render the displacement. The mesh didn't have to be connected even either, just be in the same space.

(could be some other reason why it didn't work, but that's what did the trick for me)
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
