  • Pictures to dark

I am making a movie inside a building but every visopt file i use makes it dark inside. Which setup do i need to change to make it lighter inside the homes?

I only got some natural light threw the windows, but i want it to look like the same as it is on the outside of the building. Without placing lamps and those kind of things.

So please can somebody tell me how to make it lighter in my building? i have got some visopts that make it lighter but these setups are to slow to make a movie with it.

Thanks for your help i really appreciate it!

    Re: Pictures to dark

If you're using the physical camera (I alway do), just adjust the ISO, Shutter Speed, and F-Stop to get the right exposure...just like you would a real SLR camera.

For an interior shot, I would start with maybe ISO=400, F-Stop=8 or 11, and SS=125, then adjust the F-Stop and SS from there. Try lowering either or both as necessary.

A quick explanation of these 3 Phys cam concepts:

ISO is a measure of the film's sensitivity to light. Lower ISOs, like 100 or 200, are less sensitive, while higher ISO's, like 400 and up, are more sensitive.

F-stop measures the amount the diaphragm in the lens opens...a lower setting actually lets more light through the lens. Be careful with this one, it also affects image graininess and DOF.

Finally, SS is a measurement of the amount of time the shutter is open, actually the inverse. If your setting is 125, then the shutter is open for 1/125th of a second. If you set the diaphagm to be open longer (a lower number in the settings), you're exposing the "film" to more light.

    Hope that helps ya...
