i'm new to the forum but im wondering if there is a way in sketch up, where in you could insert images of real people, trees,etc, in your drawing..same way as how RPC works for 3dsmax works..thanks

You can import images into Sketchup by going to File-Import and choosing which jpeg/png you would like to import. It makes a plane and applies the texture to it. Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but thats the first thing that comes to my mind.Best regards,

I tried that, but whenever i apply shadows on it, the shadow is a plane..what i'm after is that whatever png or image you place in the sketch up drawing, like a tree, the shadow should follow with the shape of the image, not a plane..moreso, the image i inserted in the drawing does not show up whenever i render it in vray...is there a script or plugin which could convert images to an skp file.??..thnks for the information...MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES !!
