Sketchup on a MAC then to Vray?

I will be getting a new MAC Pro at work and want to run Sketchup for MAC, BUT, does anyone know the workflow to then get my Sketchup models to render in Vray? Or will I have to buy Sketchup for PC being the only way to render from Sketchup to Vray. Any help would be appreciated as I have to get my software requirements to management by tuesday the 24th. I do not mind a dualboot system but I am not sure how that is going to work if Sketchup is running in a MAC enviroment and Vray in a PC enviroment.

V-ray isn't supported by mac so far i know.

You can install windows on your mac and then run SU and v-ray..
or maybe the v-ray team can tell if there's a mac-version coming?

Can I run Sketchup in MAC and then render in Vray in PC? Or do I need to purchase Sketchup in PC to render in Vray?

Couldn't you get Linux on your MAC and run both PC and MAC applications?

V-Ray will only run from SketchUp on a PC. That means that all aspects of V-Ray; lights, materials, options, or rendering, will have to be done through the PC version. You can model wherever you'd like and setup as much of your materials through SketchUp as you can.

The development on a Mac version has yet to start. Developing for an entirely new platform is not going to something that will happen over nite, so the word soon doesn't really apply at the moment. We are looking to have a Mac version for our next full release, but since we do not know all of the issues entailed with porting to the Mac we cannot say this is set in stone. Many users have expressed interest/desire for a mac version, so it is something we are working towards.

We also develop V-Ray for Rhino, and Rhino doesn't have a Mac version yet. So we are still kind of waiting for those guys to port over to Mac and get all set up before we can really dig our heels in to this stuff. SketchUp can be a bit messy to develop for, so like Dalomar said, we're not sure what kind of surprises are waiting for us when we port over to Mac.

To be honest, I'm a bit more interested in having just the DR Spawner ported to Linux.

I am on a Macpro as well and use bootcamp to run Vista 64bit.
The SU + Vray combo runs pretty nicely.
I am wondering: if you have bought sketchup for Mac, can't you get a PC version for free (same license) from Google and run it in Bootcamp together with Vray?
You could do the modeling in Mac, open the SU file in Vista through Bootcamp and go from there for the time being...

Yes, being able to set up Linux render boxes would be great. Don't feel like getting multiple Windows licences just for a renderbox.

VRAY for SketchUp (MAC OS X) will be coming out at the end of April for those of you itching for a copy!

I believe that it will be integrated in to the GUI similar to the VRAY for SketchUp (Windows) version.

No need to port. The DR Spawner runs fine under Wine.
