Hi! i'm new in this forum,
My name is Davide, i'm come from italy and my english is a little horrible!
    ... CIAO A TUTTI!

    Probably a simple question:
can i place a background image (with specific dimension) that perfectly match the render frame?? (without use psp or similar?)

      Re: Display background image

If you have a 360 degree imaeg you can insert it into the Background slot. It's best as it gives shows up on reflections. If you do not have 360 degrees images you're better off doing it in post.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

        Re: Display background image

ok, but my problem is of another kind ...
I understand the question of reflection ... is true and I thought of using synchronous GI reflection and GI refraction.
but if I have a glazed area that covers part of the background (in my case it comes to a box of glass, an elevator) then go to work after the photo seems to me "time wasted" ...

        ALSO:
If I had to submit the draft to a client for a proposed insertion photo would be much faster because every change, progress of work, I should not work with the photo (THE GIMP!)

        CONCLUDES WITH A SMALL ADVICE:
        enough! perhaps! only:
        1. in Environment; Background; Common Type BITMAP; UVW Environment; Mapping (suitable artifact or similar)
        2. reflection - refraction of all objects in the scene is controlled by Environment; reflection refraction, if selected.

I hope that I explained ... Unfortunately chew English with the false teeth!

        Hello everyone,

          Re: Display background image

With your refraction layer of you're glass material, if you enable Affect Alpha, then wherever that glass is on top of the background, the alpha will be adjusted so that you can better composite that in PS.

            Re: Display background image

excuse my English but I sincerely hope to receive help ...

It is true we can work with alpha channels but ... see attached images ... often, especially if you are working on inserting photo, we see a halo around what is insert ...
The rendering is a quality inferior to that of the picture ... this is true ... but I was compelled by the fact that the photo was vertical (2448 x 3264) output sk tends to be horizontal ... and, since I'm making a match-room SketchUp see no alternative ... send a report with output 5840x3264 crash sends me so I have to enlarge necessarily render the product!

However even if I try to render the insert size equal to the photos would alone render the surrounding ...

HOWEVER IF background will adapt to an image, always taking advantage of the alpha channel that can serve however, CERTAINLY we would have made life easier ...

THEREFORE ... because I understand that v-ray NOT rammed the background image in its actual size HOW CAN I?

also ... at this point suggest to add the ability to place a background image that does not affect the reflexes (diversificandla lal existing background)
