  • unwanted color in rendering interior

I am rendering an interior shot down a corridor. There is a cove light along its length with a hint of warm yellow color in it. There is a reddish brown textured carpeting on the floor. I have an emitter along the floor that is invisible to brighten up the length of the hallway. There is no environment or background turned on.

The problem i am having in the scene is that in fine tuning the cove light to fall-off correctly to make the ceiling plane look as though its floating there...there is a blend of yellow to gray down the exterior wall surface, but within the light fall-off there is a red tint that i cant seem to get rid of....

Im thinking that it might have something to do with the carpet and the light thats on the carpet? Maybe its not dispersing light in the right direction, which should be up?

Can you post the image here from Photobucket or similar? It's difficult to assess the problem without a pic.

I think you're experiencing some color bleeding going on within your scene. This is a natural (and usually desirable) circumstance. Best post your scene so we can see a little more of what you're working with.
