How can i make a video

hi guys, for some time now ive been searching on the web but cant find nothing,... I want to make a virtual video of a house in sketchup, but i want it to be realistic, renderd with vray... is this possible... can i make a rendered video with sketchup and vray??? i wanna make a virtual walktruogh video

another thing..... ive instaled the sketchup 7.0 and vray 1.0... but im having truble with some components i used to use in sketchup 6.0.... im also havin problems wiyh some surfeces I have... for example i made a box, them i put some "jail" bars... but when i try to aply some material by using right click on the mouse, the surfece gets un selected... sometimes i try to select a surfece and it never does, or some time another surfice gets selected.... why is this? do any of you have these problems???? please help me....

It's possible to render videos, yes. But you can only animate the camera, not objects. I don't have any link availible right now, but if you search this forum for animation you'll find a few threads where they go through setting up for animation.

As for realism, it'll be as realistic as you make it.

Your selecting problem sound like a graphic card problem. I've seen this before when the drivers are out of date. Especially with ATI and built in Intel cards. Have you updated your graphic card drivers?

p.s. I recommend that you update your V-Ray as well to SR1.5. It's a very nice improvement over the original.

hey tanx fos answering... i did update the video grafics driver.. but i also updated vray, it seems that was the problem... couse now it looks like is working fine... ill try it out for a day or two to see jejeje ive just finishd instaling SU and Vrray 1.5...

ill look for the animation in this forum tanx...

To make an animation with SU+Vray in sketchup you setup your scenes. Then In Vray you turn on the Animation button under output. Vray will then interpolate all the images between your scenes.
You are then left with hundreds if not thousands of .PNG images, which you have to assemble into your animation via another program. Lots of programs to chose from. Quick Time Pro works well for me.

ALthough this sounds easy its a long process and more steps are required to make it work. Look in the Rhino Tutorial section. They have a animation Tutorial, although its for Rhino the concepts are the same.

The most important thing here is to Pre-Calculate your IR map. but the tutorial covers all that.
