Does anyone know of a way to preview your HDRI's other than inside of vRay? That is very time consuming. Photoshop will open them but that takes longer than vRay. Any help
Thanks
Joe
I just convert all my HDRIs to 8 bit in PS and save copies as jpgs with the same name so I have a Windows viewable thumbnail right next to each of my HDRIs in the same folder. They can also be handy as backgrounds when the HDRI isn't quite producing the right effect.
Be very careful not to accidentally save over the original hdri. It will look the same, but there will be a drastic difference in the amount of info in the file and all of the dynamic range will be shot. I've lost quite a number of HDRIs that way
