    Re: REnder in different machines

If the textures doesn't exist on the same location on both machine you will have to relink them. No way around that.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

      Re: REnder in different machines

Micha's got a little trick somewhere on this forum for stuff like this. Just enable DR (you don't need to add a machine actually) and in the asset collection use the "Send Assets to Shared Folder" option. Just start the render, let everything transfer to that location, then cancel. Now you've got all of your dependent maps in one location. Move that folder along with your scene to the other computer, relink just one of the maps and V-Ray should find the rest of them. From there you should be good to go.

          Re: REnder in different machines

I think you're getting slightly confused with what I'm saying...all that option in the DR settings will do is copy the dependent files to a given location. In this case, it doesn't actually matter if that location is visible by both computers because you're just using it as a means to collect all the files you need. After you've had V-Ray move all the files for you, just copy that folder and the scene on to a flash drive and move it over to the other computer.

thanks dalomar por your help, but actually, i'm pretty sure that i'm doing something wrong, it copy some of my materials, but i realized that my images is using some su materials, that in my machine the names are in english, the su is in english, but in the other machine the names are in spanish, the su ios in spanish, and the vray didn't recognized the same su material but in different lenguages. got no problem with the other materials that aren`t from su. vr actually crashed my other computer, it create a bug splat. any help dalomar will be very welcome!!!

              Re: REnder in different machines

Well, if the materials are different names then I don't think you're going to be able to transfer them very effectively. We don't have a translation service for the material names (we have enough of a time with english as it stands) so they are each recognized as individual materials.
