  • Rendering to disk + z-map?

    Hi all.

I've been working on something I want to render out fairly large. Thus I've taken to using the rendering to disk option. Which works quite well, I'm happy to say.

However, I'm not getting a z-map after unpacking the rendered file, though I've added it to the list of maps that need to be rendered in the, errr, vfb (?).

Is it at all possible to render to disk AND get a z-map?

Oh ... I'm using the latest build.

Believe it or not, its already there. The Vrimg format actually has the other channels (well not all, but most) embedded within the file, so all you need to do is extract them from the file. To do this you'll have to fire up the command line and type in a few paths and arguments. Check out the following link from spot3d as it should explain all that you need to know about running the vrimg converter with the command line. Let me know if you need some more help sorting this out.
