  • High res rendering using saved ir and lc maps

Rendering at screen size, and then re-using the generated ir map and lc map for a larger render, is a pretty good way to obtain high res renders fairly fast.

I was wondering, though, how big is the impact on the quality of the output? Anyone got some intel on that?

It depends on the quality that you initially calculated them at. After that there's no difference between using those at different resolutions.

Hi I'm new here and this is quite interesting. What is the procedure in getting the ir or lc map? and how do you use it to make big renderings
