    Re: Vray Crashes SU

Tried that just now, and no luck. I have a carpet image that will crash the model, and the stone bump map that will crash the model. Really strange. Thanks for the suggestion 40th.

      Re: Vray Crashes SU

I got curious, so I took the model and all the textures home to my business and rendered them there. Most of them worked fine, without crashing. I have dual 2.67 xeon processors and 12gigs of ddr3 ram and a gig gddr4 video ram. Dont know if thats what makes the difference or what. But there is still one texture that will always crash SU. Any other comments/suggestions would help to get this resolved, thanks!

Try to make some changes to that texture like shorter name, resize it a bit.
I also had crushes because of a texture.

P.s your texture file should be in english

          Re: Vray Crashes SU

I went back and resized, even found a new image of the carpet texture, renamed, different file type (.jpg, .png, etc.), nothing seems to work. I added a different unrelated carpet texture and it worked fine, that carpet must have a curse on it or something. Any other tips?

            Re: Vray Crashes SU

Does anyone know if there is a limit on the amount of textures in a folder? I have a folder named "Textures" and it has all my maps in it. The two that were crashing I moved out into another folder called "Textures 2" and they work just fine. This lead me to believe there is a size or item limit.

Not that i heard of. But i gotta tell you that the number of crush reasons is yet discovered (Imo).
I'm glad you found a solution to your problem.
