hey another thing... sorry I'm such a noob still...... I got this model with some 3d warehouse furniture and trees but vray doens't render them.... If I render them in a new file it works fine, but not in my current model

It's a VfSU bug- Save the skp file, close it and reopen it to fix it.

the scene was saved without the furniture layer vissible.... so I made it visible... saved the file and reopend it but it's still not working

Are you using the old V-Ray for Sketchup?

can you post a screenshot of the SU scene and a screenshot of what V-Ray renders?

Weird- that looks exactly like the "disappearing groups" bug, but closing and reopening SU almost always fixes that. Have you tried exploding and regrouping them?

Yea, I've only experience permanent disappearing groups in the original version...

Can you share the model so we can poke about?

ungroup -> regroup doesn't work....... just explode also doesn't work

oke it works... I exploded it.... and all the components in the compent exploded aswell and then regroup it and it works thnx!!!

Can you link to the Warehouse models you used? I'd like to test them myself. See if I can find the source of this.

I've been able to (more or less) attribute the missing/dissapearing/unupdating groups issue to groups/components being defined and then modified within other groups. IOW, when I create a groupA, and then make groupB that contains groupA, then I'm fine because groupA was defined by itself outside of another group. If I make groupB and then within groupB make groupA, you might have problems. Although its the same "organization", because groupA is defined from within groupB, we get our signals crossed and don't get updates on the newly created groupA. At least this held true a little while ago when I was doing some bug testing.
