  • exterior portion of rendering too blue

    http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/t...IceBedroom.png

When I rendered my image, why is the exterior so blue?? My ozone is set to 0.35. Could be be that the material of the outdoor screen is metal and is reflecting the blue environment color??

Also, I had grass placed within portions of the screen, but its not showing up either. It looks blue as well.

    Thanks!

Can you post a render with identical settings, but hide the glass material? Judging by the stark contrast between the interior ceiling and exterior soffit it it looks like the glass is filtering the light.

I'm wondering if it's a bug in SU. It seems that some times when you have a glass material - everything on the other side of the glass renders as if the default SU blue backside material appear. - even though it's not really in the model.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

V-Ray requires materials on both the frontside and backside of the material. In cases where you just have diffuse, this is no big deal, but with refractive materials, that backside material will come into play. That default blue material is most likely just bouncing the light around outside and its coming back in a little bit bluer than normal.

I'm going to try rendering with the glass hidden because on the wall/screen outside, there is supposed to be grass on some of the screen which is showing up as being blue, with no green color or texture showing up at all (as seen in redering i posted).

is that because of the glass?? should I be able to see it??
