  • Ideal exterior settings

HI everyone, I'm new to this site and can't get enough of it. I'm a student in architecture and I often have to do interior and exterior renderings. I have no trouble with doing interior settings but when it come for the outside, I could need some help. I was wondering if anyone had the ideal setup for exterior rendering. Often, the image comes out to bright and the materials seem to fade. And while I'm at it, I can't seem to find a glass material that works weel, that has the reflection of a window but lets you see through it a little bit.

Thank you in advance for your help

hey.... I found this treat lately at the vfrhino section: http://forum.asgvis.com/index.php?topic=438.0

Maybe u can work from the madoEXT visopt (which is pretty good) and work from there.
    Hope this helps.

I've tested quite a few glass settings myself, but to be honest, nothing works better than simply setting the transparency of the diffuse layer to white, then adding the standard reflection layer. Obviously, there'd be no distortion, but i personally really like the settings!
