  • how to keep the material setting when copy model to each other.

Hello, I am new with Vray for sketchup, but recently I am starting loving its.

but I have a question, can one keep the setting of an object/model of the material in the skp and later copy to another model and keep the material setting? I have tried that but dosn't seems to work. I have try research on the forum but i don't see any, but maybe just me.

    Thanks

    No.
But you could save a copy of the model with the materials you want to keep. Then delete all geometry and purge all components. Then you're left with an empty model with the same materials and settings.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

If you have played around with your settings for your particular material, make sure and export your material from the Vray material editor, simply right click and save thevisopt. on to your desktop. then when you are in a new model space simply import the settings on to your desired material.

after a while you should end up with a small library of material settings you can call your own, and the time you save producing images will decrease more and more.
