  • texture light correction

Hey I have had this problem with a few photo's I would like to use as texture:
for example the lighting on the right side is brighter then on the left side. This is really annoying when it's tiled. How can I correct this in either gimp or photoshop?

Google "make Seamless tiles" and you'll find a lot of tutorials about it.

      Re: texture light correction

thnx for the reply.... but the problem is not making it seamless tiled.... but the lighting difference. I would like to get this the same in the picture I want to use. So what I mean is the lightning on the right of the picture is a bit to bright. So even if I make this seamless tiled you still see the lighting difference when you tile it.

btw to get pictures seamless tiled (and making bump / displacement / normal maps have a look at this link:

        Re: texture light correction

If i understand you correct, you do need to make it seamless tile, but in your case its not the borders/joints that connects wrong but the light difference. so when you texture with it you can see the repeating light spot.
See if this tut helps you, even part of it. http://www.cgtextures.com/content.ph...ame=matchcolor
The main tool for this is the high pass in ps.
        i hope this helps.

yes that's it 40th... thnx alot, this is so fustrating sometimes and the lighting difference is so obvious in your tiling. As I'm not a gimp/ps pro, this was very hard to correct.
