  • identifying current visopt

Here's an obvious question: how can you tell which visopt is active at any given time? There must be an easy answer.

    thanks in advance

That's disappointing. How do people work around it, I wonder.

I think it is a good feature if you can identify which visopt you are using. Unfortunately right now there is no way how to know that. Maybe if you identify the visopt when you are saving the scene can remind you the visopt that you are using.

          Re: identifying current visopt

IMO it's irrelevant to display the current visopt name, because as soon as you load a saved visopt you're very likely to alter parameters which would immediately make that a unique visopt. Especially as, after loading a visopt the first thing you tend to do is to reduce resolution and subdivs to do test renders. One might argue that it would still be useful to display the name of the original loaded visopt, but it's entirely plausable that you could load a visopt, make multiple parameters alterations over several sessions, until it actually became a clone of (or close to) another of your saved visopts. Besides the confusion this could cause, this could easily result in you accidentally saving over your saved visopts, losing very valuable work.
