  • problem... please help

Oke I did my first testrender just a min. ago and it didn't came out as it should.
I used DR-spawner on this (with an extra 2 computers), so maybe this is the problem.
I'm doing another testrender and it's got the same problem only now the grey parts are in a different place.

    here's the render:

    Re: problem... please help

any time there's ever a problem with DR, you need to first check to make sure that the client, and all the DR Spawners are from the same version of our product. If you have an old DR Spawner, it's not going to understand information from a new client. If you have a old client, it won't send information to new DR Spawners the way that they'd expect. You need everything to be up to date, or at least the same version. If you aren't 100% sure if everything's the same version, reinstall the product for your client machine, as well as the DR Spawner machines.

Another common problem with DR occurs when the remote machines that are running the DR Spawner, don't have access to the assets required to render the scene properly. If the DR Spawner can't find a texture, it's not going to render it.

thnx for the reply... the DR-spawners are the newest version. I'm sure of that because I installed them from the same exe which is located on the server. when I render with spawners I always let vray send the textures to a shared folder on the server which is also available to every computer. I'll try again tomorrow. I never had this problem before, I always use the same computers and the same shared folder. Maybe I should clean it?

I think I fixed the problem.... the textures where located on my USB stick... I'll reapply them and try again

        EDIT: it's fixed
