  • VRAY TOON LINES NOT RENDERING

    Hi Guys,

I am working on a project for work, its nothing fancy just a quick render.

I am having a bit of trouble with VrayToon Material, I created a White base material and then linked it as my base material for Vray toon Material.

I am using Vray Sun, and when i render my model not all the lines appear, i have attached some images to illistrate this. It is very annoying.

Does anybody have this problem? or does vray toon still have bugs, until it is re-relseased in the next update??

    Thanks everyone!!

Re: VRAY TOON LINES NOT RENDERING

I've never used the Tool material. I find it quicker and with better result to export a B&W line image from Sketchup and combine them in post.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.

        Isn't Penguin Rhino only?

Re: VRAY TOON LINES NOT RENDERING

You just need to adjust the V-Ray Toon Material "Overlap Threshold" parameter until you are happy with the results. It takes a bit of trial and error as every model is unique and the level of smoothing applied to different groups will affect the outcome.

and re: your topic title, THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT. You'll get more attention using just plain old Lower Case.

            Thanks for your help guys!!

I dropped the overlap threshold to 0 and that did the trick perfectly!!

            Cheers!!

            P.S sorry for SHOUTING!
