Hi folks-
Has a surprise today when I started playing with the qmc render presets. I used gi_qmc_lc_low.visopt on a simple model and noticed that the buckets rendering just the ground plane (a displacement grass material) processed dramatically faster than the buckets rendering the plain vertical surfaces (default SU material)
what is the factor causing this behavior, is it the lightness of the SU default material that slows it down? I expected the displacement portions of the render to slow down to a crawl, not the simple geometry.
