You have to reduce the brightness of the image through the Physical camera and try to illuminate the hall with some artificial light. Other think that you can try is change the color mapping to use HSV exponential, this mode instead of washing out the color will preserve the color hue and saturation. So this mode preserve the color of the pixels and you will not get that washout area causing by the sun.
There are some times that my lights don't turn on at all in the rendering. The lights under Global Switches are on, but my lights don't show up at all.
Thank you so much! That helped.
I have an overall yellow quality to the whole image + my emissive material (Intensity set to 5) appears orange. How do I correct those issues?
Im thinking the emissive material multiplier needs to be jacked up an extensive amount in order for it to have the apparent glow that your hoping for. Start with a value around 100 and then increase up to even the thousands if need be. Trial and error. The yellow look is probably from your lighting setup...easiest way to fix this without having to change all kinds of things in your scene is just by editing it in photoshop with some color adjustments and such (try adding some blue to the image and that should help take away that tone). Good luck.
Thanks steeler! I shall try that and post the result.
All of you were really helpful. I love to work with vray and hopefully learn a lot more.
Thanks again!
