Newsletter examples

I really like the idea of the newsletter where you can download some nice materials etc. But why are the example scenes only available in Rhino format? I know we can model the scenes ourselves but it would be nice to be able to download it in Sketchup format as well. Or am I missing something.

It is great that you like the newsletter materials. As you know you can apply the concepts to SU, but yes, you are right and I apologize for that. I will try to do more stuff for Sketchup as well.
If you have some topic or materials that you want that we cover on future newsletter, please let me know.

I agree with peer. I also thought the exact same thing.
If i may to suggest for the next topic a Vra2Sided leafs like described in this blog http://www.peterguthrie.net/blog/2009/11/

I thought to try it myself when i get to it but i think it a nice idea for the newsletter.

I think this is a good topic for one newsletter. For sure we will cover this information in one newsletter. Also if one of you want to create a small video and few materials, we can use those information for a newsletter with your tutorial and materials.

Hi, thanks for replying. Yes a 2sided material would be nice. I'm an architect myself so maybe some basic building materials + exterior rendersettings would be nice. I'm thinking about nice glass that renders fast (there are lots of examples in your download section, that's true), displacement and bricks. Maybe introduction to dof and fog?

We had some issue with our server, but we fixed it. Our office will be close until Monday for holiday. We will put the feature download as soon as possible.
