    uuh I never done that.... could give me an explaination.

    I guess I have to set "show hidden geometry" on... and then with the eyedrop select and paint?

      Yes, rotate and scale the first face to fit how you want it. Then sample that face and paint the next. Sample the one you just painted and repeat.
      The problem is getting the texture to meet all the way around if you really want that. But, real lap shades rarely have the pattern meet perfectly all the way around. Usually there's a seam where the start and end of the cylinder meet.
      Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
