  • Interior light problem! I do have a reference like what i want to create!

I am trying to make from this image:

    Something like this:

(this image is not made by me so all rights belong to the maker of this image. I only want to use this as a reference)

Is there anyone who can explain me how to do so? it is probably playing around with lights, but i am not able to get the image i would like to receive. I am not yet experienced with using photoshop (gonna do a course at the university this quarter). But i can't imagine the light is done by photoshop.

    Thanks for the help!

well firstly i would position the sun or the building so that the sun light is actually coming directly into the space, i'd also play with adding a vray rect light behind the camera and sort your wood flooring out...it looks as tho you dont have a texture applied just a bump map and the reflection needs lowering so it doesn't look like theres an inch of water in the room.

In terms of the warm colouring, this could be achieved in post with photoshop, just altering levels and hues.

hope it helps a bit, good start.

      Thanks for your reply!

I have been trying somethings and this is the result until now:

What i did was adding two omni lights and turned of the shading part of the omni light. This is more like the result i was searching for. I still need to do some fine tuning.

Curious on why the shades didnt create the shadow effect like in the model shadows.? Why is that?

edit: The omni light would take care of that probably. But im still getting the shadows kind of bleed into the space and dont really give too much definition on some surfaces.

        Any idea?

maybe u dont have the sky enabled in GI i guess, and also i dont know if it is on purpose but in your first images u can see two tones of white thats cause u are using the deafult sketchup color wich is not really white apply a white material to all the walls and problem fixed. and good renders for starting
