  • IR samples - how high is too high?

I got this scene, interior, lit only by lights coming in through the windows. Sun only.

In the back where things gets darker it's very splotchy. I'm using IR+LC.

    IR: -3 / 0
    HSph: 100
    Samples: 20
    Rest default

    LC:
    Subdiv: 1000
    Rest default.

If I blast the HSph up to 200 there's less noise - but still some.

Isn't that a bit high value?
Is there some other parameter I should tweak?
