As much as I'd like to use the new vray there are certain problems/bugs (which are very well documented in the forum by now) that keeps me away working with it. However it would have been a great thing if we could install both versions at the same time so we could always test the new guy in town without affecting the overall work flow in an office environment.
I can see three ways to do it (one of which is not really desirable);
1- If we could somehow install two instances of SketchUp 7.1, we could easily install old vray on one instance of Sketch up and the new vray on another. I , however, have not yet found a way to install two instances of sketchup....
2-Installing old and new Vrays as plugins on Sketchup at the same time. Two different toolbars would be available and you could just choose the vray you want to use without really changing anything... (I assume this would be very complicated task in terms of how old and new vray handle the materials etc...)
3-This is the undesirable approach which is simply to install sketchup 6 with old vray while sketchup 7.1 is installed with the new vray. Have not tried this but it looks like it could work. However, the back and fort process with the version changes in sketchup models makes this quite undesirable...
Do you guys have any opinions, tricks to do this? Thanks people...
