Memory increasing problem

Oh,,,,I forgot to add this question.

Have you guys had any problems with your memory?

Since I got SKU 7 and Vray 1.48.66 , it seems to me that more memory is used.

And the problem with me is that whenever I render, Memory goes up to 1.8 GB (in task manager - PF usage) and never comes back.
So if I tried to do 2nd rendering it actually doesn't even start to render.

I have to close sku and re open to render 2nd shot.

Any suggestion on this ???

we have received this report from others as well. Upon testing in windows xp professional, I noticed an odd behavior. If you are rendering, and you completely minimize sketchup and the vfb... the memory usage drops to a considerably lower amount. Then when you restore the windows, the memory usage remains at that lower level for a moment, and slowly climbs... very odd. This is with the current beta though, not 1.48.66. I have not tried to reproduce this issue in that version. We are still trying to track down the issue.

I had the same issue when I switched to Vista 64bits.
The RAM limit was hit at every renders..

Now I tweaked SU (with a small software ) to use up to 4gb.

I don't have any problems with memory limit now.

could You please tell me what kind of software have You used to tweaked SU, to make it use 4gb instead of 2gb of RAM?


Have a lot of problems with it, since I started using SU...
