  • Seeking Great VISOPT for Interior

Can anyone help me? I am sure someone has done a rendering with these perameters before.

I am seeking a VISOPT meant for an interior rendering with a multi level atrium space. It is important that I am using settings that show the effects of the GI while balancing it with the interior lighting I have in the scene. I am having trouble reaching a good setting and looking for help. Anyone?

Re: Seeking Great VISOPT for Interior

HEY SORRY ABOUT THAT. BASICALLY THERE A FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO THAT WILL DRAMATICALLY HELP YOUR RENDERING. FIRST, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DMC SAMPLER NOISE THRESHOLD IS SET TO .005. THEN, CHOOSE YOUR COLOR MAPPING (I RECCOMEND REINHARD, IT'S GREAT FOR GETTING GOOD CONTRAST), AND BE SURE TO CHECK SUB-PIXEL MAPPING AND CLAMP OUTPUT. THIS WILL DRAMATICALLY HELP WITH HOT SPOTS COMING FROM INTERIOR LIGHTS. THE NOISE THRESHOLD COUPLED WITH SUB-PXEL AND CLAMP OUTPUT SHOULD ELMINATE YOUR SPOTTING AND EVEN OUT THE LIGHTING IN THE RENDERING. PHYSICAL CAMERA SETTINGS CAN BE CRITICAL AS WELL. IF YOUR NOT USED TO PHOTOGRAPHY, I RECCOMEND USING THE STANDARD CAMERA, BUT IF YOU ARE, MESS WITH EXPOSURE AND F-STOP TP GET WHERE YOU NEED TO BE. OH ALSO, IN MY RENDERING I USED LIGHT CACHE AND IRRADIANCE MAP. IF YOU HAVE A DECENT COMPUTER AND ENOUGH TIME, MONTE CARLO CAN BE THE WAY TO GO TO BYPASS NOISE ISSUES AS IT'S A PERFECT GI SOLUTION (BUT TAKES LOTS OF TIME). GOOD?
