  • Troubles with Vray Displacement!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi:

    I am in trouble to make this works, I try to make a siding for a project and I can't make the displacement work, any way that someone attach all the modifications that I need also the correct settings, I use the latest Vray just purchased and I have no good feedback from Asgvis, still waiting for the forum and i have a deadline, any help please will be really appreciated...

    I replied at your SCF thread, but in case someone else comes along to read this:
    The problem is that the displaced geometry is connected to other geometry with different materials. When displacing geometry in VfSU you must isolate the geometry with the displaced material.

    Also, the displacement map UV type was set to UVWGenObject instead of the default UVQGenChannel which is what you need in order for it to use the SU UV mapping.
    Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
