    Sketchup 7.1
    Vray..the latest one.

I am an architect using this plugin to occasionally render views in orthographics..means true plans and elevations (not in perspective)..it helps me in preparing sale plans with realistic render effect....

This i could do in ver 1.05 where by simply putting off the physical camera i could do it.

But in the latest version when i try to do it i just get white render with no image....please help me if i am going wrong somewhere..or direct me to some thread similar to my problem!!

The physical camera control the brightness of the sun. Maybe the white render is because the sun is to bright. If you want to turn off the physical camera you have to reduce the intensity of the sun. Go to GI color and change the multiplier.

I did that..still shows up only white....

Atleast it shows something when the SU camera is set to perspective mode...but the moment i set the camera to parallel mode,,,,the render is only white.

What value you have in the sun size parameter? I was doing some testing last night and if the sun size is to big you are going to get a white render. I guess this is a bug in the latest version.

              Re: Orthographic view render help

@ Evrigo :The values were at default 1

@ Fernando: i set in the environment both GI and BG color as low as 0.001 and also in the respective textures..i set the sky brightness as low as 0.001...still no progress....yes i should mention...now instead of full white render ...i am getting full yellow

Guess the only way to solve this is reverting back to my favorite 1.05 version

coz 2d elevation and plan rendering is very important for me...
