correct, the progress window was taken out, because the status updates during render time were slowing down the render considerably (more than 2x slower). This was the case even when the progress window was not displayed, and it was hidden in the background. We will add the progress window back in when we are able to get it more stable, and it has little to no impact on render times.

Does this mean that at this moment is not yet the best time to buy a Vray version?
coz my company plans to buy this version already..or is it that, can still avail the better version next time (let say 1.48.84 or higher) but still using the serial number on my 1.48.83?

we've been allowing people to upgrade for free since this company was founded. I would say the current version works very well, especially when compared to 1.48.66. I would definitely recommend downloading and trying out the demo version, and test it in your most common situations, to ensure that it fits your needs. That's why we allow you to demo for 30 days.

There have been a couple system configurations that have given us some trouble, but the majority of those have been addressed in this update. Even more will be fixed in the next release.

I see DKendig, Thanks again for your help. So far im using the demo version of Vray 1.48.83 and i could say that it improves a lot compare to 1.48.66 specially the parsing time. More power to Asgvis Team.
