  • Visopts connected to Sketchup SKM's

Okay i wanted to know how you guys implemented Visopts standard in Sketchup. I heared multiple times that everyone had it, but i didn't got it to work.

Right now i got the arroway packs and i would like to implement it in Sketchup as a standard SKM.

    My method is:
First step is to import the picture in sketchup and place it as a texture on a block of 5 meters by 5 meters. (so i still have to correct the size of the jpg later in the process)

Than i save the skm to a map and i open the material editor of V-ray and connect the displacement / bump and the reflective image. Than i adjust it to how i would to use it.

i found this pretty much for just one material. And as you may know Arroway got a lot of images! So it would probably will take a week or so to get them all in.

Is there a faster solution for this?

    Thanks in advance

Not that I know of. You have pretty much followed the standard of how to create your material. Material creation may be slow but its the only way to enable you to get photorealistic results so it is worth spending quality time on.
*hint* just create them as you actually require them!

Thanks for your reaction! and off course the hint. I do think it is smarter to save them when i use them, but i am thinking of making a template with them allready in the skp template.

But for now i use your tip!! Ciao
