Oh, and of course you'll need to make a decent curtain material for it as well.

      Hooray Google!

          Re: Curtain Tutorial Request?

the problem is not making the model or the material, but working with the two sided material. I used the old manual and the forum for trying it out, but the only thing i got to work is the lamp that is posted on the tutorial.

So thanks for the smart remark! but it was probably the lack of information that i provided. Believe me i know how Google worked!

Hmm, Fernando is better with our plugins usage than I am, actually so are you, you have posted some great renders! I'm sorry to hear that the 2sided material is giving you trouble. I don't remember if the front and back faces need to be grouped, or if you have to apply the material to the front and back faces, but I know it's something along those lines. I have seen people get stuck on that fairly often though. I'm eating dinner right now, but if I can find the answer, I will post it without being a smarty pants about it though

                  Re: Curtain Tutorial Request?

Okay, since I picked on you in two different threads yesterday, I owe you this much at least. If you could send me a scene file that demonstrates the problems you're having, I can look at it and hopefully tell you what's wrong. I suggest uploading the scene to somewhere like www.mediafire.com. Then just post a link and I'll check it out today.

                    Re: Curtain Tutorial Request?

I'll made a tutorial this today or tomorrow showing you how to use the 2side material to create curtain, but as Devin said you don't have to group the geometry with 2sided material.

yeah, let Fernando explain it, he's a lot better with usage questions than I am.
