  • Frame buffer Render results differ when following manual?

Hi I am new to vray for sketchup
so i thought Id download the manual and follow along.
I am using Sketchup Pro 7.1 and the 30 trail of vray

when following the instructions in the manual my rendered results
are different to those in the pictures from the get go.
I restored default settings and fired off the first "chairs original"
and this is the result , very different to the manuals result.

This is what it looks like in the frame buffer. Is this correct?

Ahh, They needed the default vRay material assigned to them.
Maybe this step should have come first.
Usually work in Maya. SketchUp is just a kick in the nuts as to its simplicity
and efficiency, particularly in a time constricting pipeline.

      Oh,

I keep on trucking through the manual and the same or similar problem occurs
the frame buffer result is very odd. But when I save out the image to a jpeg
      all is ok.

      Whats the secret here?

By the look of it you have the 'Monochomatic mode' selected. At the top there are Six circles the last one being greyish. Uncheck that and all should be well again.
