Removing Vray materials back to default

Hiya,

I'm using Vray V. 01.48.89.

I have been modelling a building for some days now and have added loads of materials onto my model. I now would like to remove all those materials and start over. Is there anyway to delete all material so that your material editor is left with Default_VRay_Material?

Another thing I have tried to purge all unused material but nothing happened. I was under the impression that it would remove unused material from Material Editor.

Lastly, when I remove a material it just moves to the bottom of the material editor without been deleted.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Yes - if no materials where purged, the it means they are still in use somewhere. Beware that edges has materials as well, but by default in SU all edges looks black. I find this to be a big cause of left-over materials in models as people aren't aware they apply materials to edges.

My Remove Materials plugin will let you remove materials from only edges if you like.
