  • DISTRIBUTED RENDERING

    Hi there.
i know there's a lot of info here, but i really searched and did not find the answer.
i just set the pc's of the office for the distributed rendering, and i did get the other machines to work, but only the parts of the render that my machine makes have a texture... the other machines just render a difuse color...
what's the trick there? i thouight that maybe if i saved a carpet with the textures in the same location in the other pc's it would work, but no...
    i'm using the 1.48.83
    please help me
and thank you very much in advance

    Re: DISTRIBUTED RENDERING

Have you enabled asset collection? I don't have any shared folders with textures and my dr comes out like it should. You can simply enable "send to each node" and it should be fine, but when the model is massive this option sometimes crashes the dr spawner, in which case you do "send to shared folder" and simply point to a folder that every computer can see and it sends the model with textures, etc to that folder so the slaves can get it from there.

Remember though that the shared folder path should be a network path, i.e "\\NAME_OF_PC_SHARING_THE_FOLDER\folder\" (without the "")
