AVARAGE PC requirements for an OK render?

Hi there,

I am currently using a : HP Compaq 6000 Pro SFF PC, Intel (R) Core (TM) 2 Quad CPU
Q9400 @ 2.66Ghz, 2.66 GHz, 1.93 GB of RAM
My display is : Intel Q45/Q43 Express chipset, CHIP TYPE - 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Total memory 1024.0MB
32 bit

Everytime i do a render with a little higher number of Subdivs ( Which is nothing compare to what some people use online for there renders ) and some displacement to my scene ( nothing serious ). My system crashes
So just want to check if its my specs of my PC, or just Me!?
Using new SU 8 and vray 1.48. 89

check the RAM usage, if you're at about 2gb of ram usage, and then it crashes, it's probably due to you running out of memory (note that 2gb is all that can be used, regardless of how much RAM your system has)

Are you saying that adding more RAM (1G) should help with the problem!?
